POV magazine aims to give the reader a variety of insights to broaden their mind and understanding of the world through exploring the themes in the cards of the Major Arcana in Tarot. The magazine houses a blend of personal interviews and a variety of articles, features and artist highlights that align with the themes of the issue. The design draws inspiration from Swiss and Scandinavian type and layout design. The simple body type is contrasted with the interesting application of the drop caps as a paragraph break device. This device is a consistent design element across all issues of POV magazine. These more industrial design elements are contrasted with Illustrations and a set of stamps inspired by a range of cultural symbols and patterns. Each Issue uses the themes of a card in the Major Arcana, and with the card a different display typeface, to eventually give a whole and varied insight into life throughout all 22 Issues of POV magazine.
